- Compare Assisted Living Facilities: The primary purpose of this tool is to provide detailed information about the past performance of assisted living facilities in Virginia. Assisted living favilities (ALFs) are non-medical residential settings that provide or coordinate personnel and health care services, 24-hour supervision, and assistance for the care of four or more adults who are aged, infirm or disabled.
- Compare Nursing Homes: The primary purpose of this tool is to provide detailed information about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country.
- National Care Planning Council: A resource site for long-term care.
- National Clearing House for Long-Term Care: Information on understanding, planning and paying for long-term care.
- National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center: The National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center provides support, technical assistance to the 53 state long-term care ombudsman programs and their statewide networks of almost 600 regional programs.
- Paying for Senior Care: Provides a Resource Locator Tool to help families find the financial resources they require for the home care, assisted living or long term care of their loved ones.

- Extra Help: Offers help with prescription drug costs. You may be able to get extra help to pay for the premiums, annual deductible, and co-payments related the new Medicare Prescription Drug Program

Project Lifesaver
- Project Lifesaver: (Currently available in the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, Spotsylvania and Stafford) Project Lifesaver relies on proven radio technology and a specially trained search and rescue team. Clients that are enrolled in the Project Lifesaver program wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. When caregivers notify the local Project Lifesaver agency that the person is missing, a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer's area and starts searching with the mobile locater tracking system. Search times have been reduced from hours and days to minutes. In over 1000 searches, there have been no reported serious injuries or deaths. Recovery times average less than 30 minutes.
