Medicare Part D Counselors

Provide individual Medicare Part D prescription drug counseling to seniors in the Fredericksburg area. Training provided.

 

Congregate Meal Center Aides

Assist the meal center manager with meals and activities; interact with seniors.

 

Home Delivered Meals

Deliver frozen meals and a friendly smile to homebound elderly clients once a week.

 

Long-Term Care Ombudsman

Visit a nursing home once a week and assist with complaint resolution. Training provided.

 

Medical Transportation Aides

Ride along with an RAAA van driver to assist in transporting clients to medical appointments.

 

Newsletter Assistant

Copy and distribute the RAAA monthly newsletter.

 

Office Work

Assist with answering the phone, general office duties, and special projects.

 

Site Supply

Transport supplies to meal centers once a week.

 

Telephone Reassurance

Provide a daily call to seniors living alone to check on their safety and well being and to provide companionship.

 

Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program Counselors

Provide one-on-one Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid, and long-term care insurance counseling to seniors. Training provided.
